Hi from Amara,
We’re in the process of redesigning the Amara Teams dashboard page (example: TED dashboard) and have decided to try something new. Instead of doing all the design internally, we thought it would be neat to experiment with an open and collaborative brainstorm for additional design input.
Those with UI, UX, design, or front-end coding experience are highly encouraged to get involved – serious aspiring designers/front-end coders are also invited to participate.
Depending on the size of response, we may break into teams – we already have a handful of folks who have expressed early interest, so we’re hoping there will be plenty more. If you’ve got a link to a design portfolio or website samples, please include this, as it will help us balance groups out.
This project will run for 5 weeks, with a new iterative challenge each week, combined with peer and group feedback. We will ask folks who sign up to make a commitment to engaging with their group – we expect participants will want to spend an average of 2-3 hours per week on the project.
The design project is an exciting opportunity to get your ideas in front of your peers, as well as the Amara engineering team. We expect the output from this project will help inform the work of the Amara engineers; however, final designs may end up differing from this output.
We will be recognizing design project participants (and likely share some of the project output) on the Amara blog. And of course you’re free to share your design contributions wherever else you prefer.
We’re incredibly excited about the project and hope you’ll join us!
Best,
The Amara Team
