Damian, Tim, Dan, and Andy need your help! Their videos have english subtitles and are ready to be translated into many different languages. Consider this your big chance to help OK Go get even more famous in Japan! (see videos, below)

What’s A Translation Party? This is an open translation project, where anyone can help translate OK Go’s music videos into many different languages. If you speak more than one language, read below to find out how to get involved. If you speak English only, that’s totally fine too, because we need a TON of people to tweet, like, share, blog, tumblog (or any other ‘og), and embed these videos in whatever language they can. It’d mean a lot to us!

Multilingual folks: Click the tab under the video, look to see if there are subtitles, and then click “Add New Translation”. Select a language you’re fluent in. If you get a locked message, someone else is working on it — try another video or wait for the person to finish up. Correct errors you see by clicking “Improve These Subtitles”.

English-only speakers: You can totally help too! Just add one of OK Go’s videos to Universal Subtitles, create english subtitles (hint: use lyrics websites for help), then email us the link (universalsubtitles@pculture.org). As long as they’re complete we’ll post ’em here.

How to embed: Visit the link subtitles page link, above the video to find embed code.

Want to be Next? If you are a popular video creator and would like to do a translation party with us, please email (universalsubtitles@pculture.org). Organizations that are interested in managed subtitling solutions, should also be in touch— we have a new service launching soon.

To hear about the next Translation Party, follow us on Twitter or Facebook, or get email updates (sign up here, below the video).

UPDATE Translations have been flooding in (more than 20 in the first hour)! Big thanks to EVERYONE who has been working on them! Also, our new friend J emailed me, after adding English subtitles to the video for Don’t Ask Me. It’s all ready for translation. (it’s at the bottom of this page)

UPDATE II More translations and more new videos added! Watch our twitter feed for further updates.
