Posted on September 4, 2024March 20, 2025 By amarasubs No Comments on To make content accessible to a wider audience, Amara Auto Captions now covers more than 30 languages!

In today’s digital age, accessibility is not just a buzzword—it’s a necessity. As content creators, marketers, and business owners, ensuring that everyone can engage with your content is paramount.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Amara Auto Captions Services are now covering more than 30 languages! These additional languages will help to make your videos more inclusive, engaging, and accessible to a much wider audience.

Amara Auto Captions are now available for: Bulgarian, Catalan, Traditional and Simplified Chinese (Mandarin), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (different variations), Estonian, Finnish, Flemish, French (different variations), German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (different variations), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish (different variations), Swedish, Tamasheq, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, and Vietnamese.

Why Captions?

Captions are no longer just a “nice-to-have” feature—they’re essential. Here’s why:

  1. Accessibility for All: Over 5% of the world’s population experiences hearing loss. By adding captions, you ensure that your content is accessible to everyone, including the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
  2. Improved Engagement: Studies show that videos with captions have higher engagement rates. Captions help viewers stay focused and better retain information.
  3. SEO Benefits: Search engines can’t watch videos, but they can read text. By providing captions, you’re giving search engines more content to index, potentially boosting your SEO rankings.
  4. Multilingual Reach: Captions can be translated into multiple languages, making it easier for you to reach a global audience.
  5. Silent Viewing: Many users watch videos in public places where they can’t play audio. Captions allow them to follow along without needing sound.
