At Amara.org, we believe captions and subtitles should be more than just useful—they should be easy for everyone to access. That’s why watching public videos with captions or subtitles on our platform is completely free. 

Getting started only takes a minute: create a free Amara account and you’re ready to go! Your privacy is always protected—we’ll never share or sell your data.


How to Share Videos on Amara.org Seamlessly

Whether you’re sharing your own videos or highlighting content you love, Amara makes it simple. Here’s how:

✅ If You Own the Content (e.g., Your YouTube or Vimeo Channel)

  • Connect your Amara account or team with your video hosting platform.
  • Once linked, your completed captions and subtitles automatically sync back and publish to your YouTube or Vimeo channel.
  • This means you can share your regular video link—now enhanced with captions or subtitles—without requiring viewers to log in.

🌍 If You’re Sharing Content You Don’t Own

No worries—your viewers can still enjoy every caption and subtitle. 

  • When sharing the video link, include this link as well so they can sign up for a free Amara account.
